Welcome to the Garden Route, a pseudo wiki for the South African music scene. Emphasis is placed on active and independant artists, but there's room for everyone. The goal is to provide a convenient entry point for anyone curious about the country's music scene.
I'm labelling this project a pseudo wiki because, unlike actual wikis, this site does not allow dynamic editing (meaning only I can alter the information presented). You're more than welcome to request an edit, addition, or removal. Two obvious consequences of a 'wiki' written by a single person are the limits of my own taste and the time restraints. So, if you'd like to start an actual wiki with the information presented here, I give you full permission to do so, with credit.
Weekly Updates
① | 01/07/24: Site launch, and it's basically empty. Most pages are offensively sparse. No search function yet but the artist and label pages will have to do for now. Current goal is to add three pages a day.
